In search of a metropolitan mixed-use district for the 21st century. How could our live-and-work environments look like in the future in Rotterdam? In this online session, Europan 15 winners Visserijplein (Guillem Colomer Fontanet), Kop Dakpark (h3o), and Vierhavensblok (Izabela Slodka) will explore potential connections and cross overs between the Merwevierhavens area (M4H), the “Dakpark”, and Bospolder Tussendijk (BoTu).
Three winners of Europan 15 Rotterdam – Vierhavensblok, Kop Dakpark and Visserijplein – have joined forces and propose an integral view on the development of these neighbouring areas. They kick off the discussion with their analysis of the larger area. Together with a panel of experts and Rotterdam city makers they explore different types of interventions and necessary conditions to bring the developments to a next level. Aiming for a metropolitan mixed-use district of the 21st century, where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
